Room 4 has been learning about how the colour wheel is divided into warm and cool colours. We found out that, generally, warm colours are red, yellow, and orange. Cool colours are blue, green, and purple. We all drew a picture of a 'hot' sun and 'cool' ocean with pastels to show the difference in 'temperature'. We all had a lot of fun!
Hello Room 4, we are the Pūkeko Learning Space from Wigram Primary School Te Piki Kāhu. We really like your beautiful sun and ocean pictures. We think it was really cool how you used hot and cool colours. We are wondering, what steps did you take to make your pictures?
ReplyDeleteHello Pukeko, Thank you for your thoughtful comment. We started by looking at a picture to inspire us. Next, we used a pencil to draw an outline of our own sun and ocean. After that, we carefully chose hot and cool coloured pastels to colour in our picture, making sure to leave no white spaces!
DeleteKia ora Room 4. We think your finished artwork looks very cool! We have been doing a little bit of art aswell learning how to use water coloured pencils. Our teacher Miss Pugh said that we are going to be learning about warm and cool colours soon too. Maybe we could try creating some art like yours.
